Fiona is an Autism Consultant providing group programs, quality resources and practical strategies for young people and families. Fiona works directly with school-aged children and young adults with developmental disorders,
with or without a diagnosis.
Making Connections Toowoomba was founded by Fiona Goodall, an experienced Special Educator committed to providing quality support services to young people with diverse learning needs, and their families. Fiona holds a Bachelor of Education and Master of Special Education (with Distinction) and has worked for over 20 years across all education sectors, including specialist autism settings, special education settings and mainstream schools, both in Australia and abroad. Fiona is a proud member of the Positive Partnerships Delivery Team, working with caregivers and educators of school-aged children on the autism spectrum to provide current, relevant and evidence-informed information through face-to-face and online workshops. She is also a member of the Positive Partnerships Educators Reference Group.
Fiona is a Registered Meditation Teacher with Meditation Association of Australia. Fiona holds a Certificate in Mindfulness and Wellbeing for Children and is a licenced facilitator of the Peaceful Kids and Peaceful Parents Mindfulness and Positive Psychology programs. Fiona is currently publishing a thesis paper on the impact of mindfulness-meditation for children with ADHD.
Fiona now works in the private sector where she can focus solely on providing tailored group programs for young people and practical, individualised support to caregivers.
For families under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Fiona's services may be claimable for self-managed and plan-managed participants.
